Sales organisations today have extensive data holdings from CRM systems, pricing tools and marketing stacks. The decisive bottleneck lies not in data access, but in the missing ability to derive the right actions from it systematically. AI closes this gap by integrating intelligent systems along the entire sell-side process, from market development and lead qualification through quotation generation to closing management and after-sales support.

Context and relevance

The range of operationally effective AI use cases in sales has expanded considerably in recent years (Figure 1: AI application fields in sales – illustrative use cases and primary business impacts). Lead scoring, forecast automation, pricing intelligence and AI-supported recommendations for action in account management are no longer experimental approaches, but already operational standard in leading sales organisations. In addition, in many companies the use of this potential fails because of a fragmented system landscape, in which CRM, pricing tools and marketing stacks are neither connected to one another nor able to learn or prioritise independently. Companies that do not actively enrich their CRM infrastructure and data base with AI capabilities and connect them into an integrated, learning-capable sales architecture lose out to such competitors in terms of response speed, closing quality and sales efficiency. The pressure to act is growing not only through competition, but also through rising expectations on the customer side, which presuppose a more precise, faster and individually more relevant engagement.

Our approach

FOSTEC & Company supports companies from the initial use-case prioritisation to full operational implementation along three sequential steps.

  1. Sales AI Use Case Map: the starting point is a structured analysis of the existing sales processes, CRM infrastructure and data base. On this basis, a prioritised use-case map is developed that sets out in a well-founded way which AI use cases can be expected to deliver the greatest value contribution, are realistically implementable and in which order they should be implemented. Clients thereby receive a robust basis for decision-making before technology decisions are made.
  2. System selection and technical integration: on the basis of the prioritised use cases, suitable AI systems, models and tools are assessed and selected. FOSTEC & Company manages the technical integration into the existing sales and CRM architecture, including data interfaces, system configuration and quality assurance. Where specialised technology partners are required, the collaboration is coordinated from a network of highly specialised AI and sales-technology partners. Clients thereby gain a technically coherent implementation without system breaks in the existing infrastructure.
  3. Automation and workflow orchestration: the implemented AI capabilities are embedded into operational sales workflows: automation logic, rule-based alerts, escalation triggers and AI-supported recommendations for action are configured so that the sales team uses AI systems as an integral part of operational management. Clients thereby receive an integrated AI sales architecture that does not merely exist alongside existing processes, but takes effect within them.

Results and impact

Clients receive AI capabilities in sales that are permanently anchored in the sales organisation. The central project results, Sales AI Use Case Map, lead scoring model, forecast automation design and CRM intelligence blueprint, can be translated directly into operational sales activity and unfold a measurable influence on closing rates, cycle times and sales costs. FOSTEC & Company combines sales-process knowledge with technical implementation competence. Access to a network of highly specialised AI and sales-technology partners ensures that clients receive not only a well-founded strategy, but a fully implemented and operationally anchored AI sales architecture.
